Speaker's Details

Prof. Emanuele Orgiu

INRS - EMT and Québec University, Canada

Emanuele Orgiu joined recetly the Québec University Canada as an Associate Professor. He spent five years at Strasbourg University (UdS) as Assistant Professor (MCF). He holds a M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering (2004, University of Cagliari) and a Ph.D. in Physics of organic devices (2008, University of Cagliari). He works at the interface between materials science and physics, with a focus on interfaces and transport in both graphene and organic semiconductors and fabrication and characterization of nanodevices. He was the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship in 2007 and of the MIT-Under35 France Award in 2013. In 2014, he obtained his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches at the Faculty of Chemistry (UdS). His research interests include:

  • Nanodevices and soft matter physics
  • metal-organic and dielectric organic interfaces
  • field-effect transistors
  • supramolecular architectures
  • graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides
  • molecular junctions, etc
