Dr. Krasimir Vasilev

Dr Krasimir Vasilev obtained a chemical Engineering degree and MSc in Polymer Science and Technology from  University of Technology of Burgas, Burgas, Bulgaria in 1997.  After three years of experience in the petrochemical industry, in 2001 he commenced PhD at the Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany. He was awarded PhD in 2004. After a short postdoctoral stay as a Marie Curie fellow at the Institute of Genomics and Molecular and Cellular Biology in Strasbourg, France, in 2005 he joined the Ian Wark Research Institute, UniSA as Research Associate. In December 2007, he moved to Mawson Institute as a Research Fellow. He was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in March 2009. In 2010, he was awarded an Australian Future Fellowship and promoted to Associate Professor in January 2012.
