Focused Sessions

Focused session: Enhanced Corrosion Control through Surface Treatment and Coating Technology

Co-Organizer: NACE International

Description: Corrosion has been one of the major industry issues in the area due to the extreme environmental conditions including the aggressive operational conditions. Playing the vital roles in control corrosion, surface treatment and coatings are two interconnected methods ensuring protection to your assets that result to reduced failures and costs due to corrosion. This session will present case studies for surface treatment and coatings.

Presentations will cover:

  • Surface treatment and coating challenges and solutions in the industry
  • Conventional and advanced surface preparation techniques
  • Standards and specifications for surface treatment and coating
  • Immerging accreditation and assessment programs
