Prof. Ho Won Jang
Prof. Ho Won Jang earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of POSTECH in 2004. He worked as a research associate in University of Madison from 2006 to 2009 and a senior research scientist in Korea Institute of Science and Technology from 2009 to 2012. He joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Seoul National University in 2012. He is now an associate professor in the department. His research interests are the synthesis of highly ordered nanostructured thin films of metal oxides, 2D materials, halide perovskites, and metals and their applications to various devices including chemical sensors, solar water splitting cells, light-emitting diodes, photovoltaics, and nonvolatile memories. He was awarded Outstanding Young Researcher Programs by the National Research Foundation of Korea and Seoul National University in 2013. He published more than 200 papers in international peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of Materials Research Society, American Chemical Society, Electrochemical Society, Korean Institute of Metals and Materials, Korean Ceramic Society, and Korean Sensor Society.
